[Early in the morning Belle picks up her journal, ready to make an announcement she's been planning to give for awhile.]

Good morning Luceti. I hope everyone is well. I would also like to welcome all of the New Feathers. I know things may seem overwhelming at the moment, but I'm sure you'll settle in just fine. It was actually a year ago today that I arrived in Luceti myself and I couldn't let the day pass without expressing my appreciation for everyone here. We've all been through so much over the past year. Things I don't believe I would have been able to get through without the help and support of my friends. So I just wanted to let you all know how thankful I am.

[She pauses here for a brief moment, trying to figure out how to best say the next part.]

Last month, in particular, was hard on all of us. We all needed time afterward to feel like ourselves again. But now I believe it's time to truly put all of that behind us. And what better way to do that than with a party? A slumber party to be exact.

A good friend of mine told me about them not too long ago and it sounded so exciting. I have never experienced a slumber party for myself, but I would really like to correct that. For those who don't know what it is, it's a party that takes place overnight in someones home. And I would love it if everyone would come. I simply can't do it without everyone's help.

If you would like to come it would be wonderful if you could bring your own pillows and blankets and snacks of your choice. I will do my best to supply people who don't have these things, but I simply don't have enough for everyone.

And...oh my! I haven't told you where the party is being held, have I? It will take place in House 17. My home for those unaware. There's plenty of space. So please come. [With that said she closes her journal.]

[Belle goes about her normal day as usual. She does chores around town a little bit earlier than normal. Anyone who runs into her at the bakery or grocery shop is free to notice that she's picking up a lot of food. Clearly it can't all be for her. And somehow she'll get all of this food home, either by herself or with some help.

Later in the afternoon can find her in the library, working her shift. It's been a slow day so far, so anyone who comes in can find Belle leaning on the counter, engrossed in her latest book.]

[With someone as big as Beast, there is plenty of armspace to carry all of those groceries. Though as he collects more things, there are evident signs of discomfort on his face - why didn't he get a basket before he started doing this? Too late for that now, however, and he does his very best to grin and bear it for Belle's sake as he follows her down the aisles.]

I-is there, uh... any more w-we need...?

[Belle does have a basket hanging on her arm, where she places the smaller items. In her hand she's holding a list of supplies that she believes will be needed for the party. Most of the items have been crossed off, leaving only a few left at the bottom of the page.]

Yes. Let's see...we still need soda in case some of our guests don't want tea. And cookies and...popcorn. [It's obvious she'd been taking suggestions from people.]

"Hello? Uh, I think this is how you do the talking thing, right? I know we only just met, but I thought maybe I could help you out with your party. Since you helped me out when I arrived."

[And also maybe to try and make a better impression on the big furry guy.]

Oh, hello Aladdin! You're doing it correctly, yes. I would love for you to come. I don't know that there's anything for you to help with aside from what I mentioned. But feel free to bring your favorite snacks along. I'm sure we'll need all the food we can get.

It's funny... I suppose I might count in the new feather category since I only just recently arrived but... this is actually a return visit for me. The last time I was here was from the beginning to the end of winter... but it's certainly nice and warm right now.

[Wait... did she hear that right?]

Wait... did you say a slumber party?!

[Oh wait... it's a bring your own food slumber party.]

Oh... Umm... I'm sorry... I don't know if I'll be any good in the food department.

In that case I suppose a welcome back is in order. And you're just in time for another winter.

[She laughs.] That's alright. I'm only asking people to bring snacks they like in case I forgot something or they don't like what will be available.

[Aang has been too afraid to talk to Belle ever since the invasion. What if she didn't want to know him anymore now that they weren't siblings?

But now that he sees her in the journal, and he's happy for her. So he meekly speaks up.]

A-anyone?

[She's relieved to hear from Aang. They hadn't spoken since the Shift wore off and she'd been wondering if he would ever speak to her again.]

Of course! It would be wonderful if you could come, Aang.

A slumber party, huh?

[Heh. Man, it's almost surreal hearing a suggestion like that over the journals. So... lighthearted and simple.]

You sure you've got enough room for everyone, though? You might end up with more interest than you thought.

[Riku always associated slumber parties with girls, but the idea's still amusing all the same, and it's nice of Bell to extend the offer.]

[Even she heard slumber parties from Jack, he never mentioned it being a gender restricted thing traditionally.]

I believe so. There is certainly enough floor space for people to sleep. [Because that's what people do at slumber parties.]

Will you be coming, Riku?

[Eleanor says this the way someone else might say 'a dead rat.' Because she has no other way to really process such a foreign idea.]

Yes. Have you ever attended one before? [Either Belle doesn't notice her tone or she's choosing to ignore it.]

Yes, I think so to. Will you come, Panda?

Slumber party. I'll be there with my jammies on. Will there be pillow fights fought by ladies in their undergarments?

I don't know. Are pillow fights a usual occurrence at slumber parties?

[it's been a while since she's been to one of those. The last time ended with everyone being trapped inside during a hurricane. She's a little nervous, but since it's an open invitation...]

Th-that's a great idea! Um, I could make some extra snacks to help make it a little easier on you...! Uh, if that's okay.

Oh, that would be wonderful! I only want to make sure that everyone has something they like. I'm going to get as many kinds of snacks as I can, but there's always a chance I'll forget something.

[Someone else has been hanging around the bakery for most of today, admittedly for some help and pointers from Rapunzel. Baking isn't exactly his strong point, and it's a tad difficult for him to properly cook things anyway with his "injury" of sorts.

So while he's there, it's not hard for Rudy to notice Belle walking around the store picking out items. When he sees just how much the woman's carrying, he really can't help but speak up.]

[Belle adjusts her armful of snacks in order to reach over and grab another thing off the shelf. When he speaks she glances up, careful not to drop any of her items.]

Oh, yes. I suppose it is. I'm having a slumber party at my house and I want to make sure I have enough supplies.

[Belle smiles when she sees her friend.]

That's wonderful. You only need to bring the things I mentioned. Enough pillows and blankets to sleep comfortably and any snacks you'd like to bring.

...are you quite certain you feel comfortable inviting so many people to sleep in your home?

[Belle seemed very nice when they spoke before, and Konan wouldn't want this to turn into a disaster for her. Even being more open to socializing with people than she's been in the past, she can't imagine inviting so many people into her home.]

Yes. Why wouldn't I? I've never had any trouble with anyone before. [Except maybe Isaac but that's complicated.]

Besides I wouldn't want to make anyone feel unwelcome.

[Maiza is at the library, a location he finds himself at more than just a few times each week. He doesn't get a new book on every visit, but today he's got a few books gathered in his hands as he approaches the counter.]

[Belle glances up at a familiar face and smiles as she puts a bookmark between the pages to mark her spot. Pushing it aside, she clears the counter for Maiza to put his books down.]

Yes, very much. I see you've found a few to your interest as well.

I'm so glad! After all you were the one who gave me the idea, Jack. I don't know the exact number of people coming. But I think perhaps ten or so people are coming for sure.
