[Belle is quite pleased when she wakes up and sees the bright white-ness of snow falling outside her window. Despite the cold she's always loved this time of year when the snow comes and covers everything and the lakes ice up. There's a simple beauty to it that she's always favored. Plus snow is very fun to play with.

So she wasts no time in getting out of bed and dressing in her warmest of clothes before hurrying outside to enjoy the weather. Anyone passing by House 17 will most likely catch Belle during one of the following activities: building a snowman, making snow angels, or engaging people in a good old fashioned snow ball fight. Anyone who is up for a little fun in the snow is more then welcome to join her.

Later in the afternoon she'll pull out her journal and dictate a quick message for the village.]

Hello Luceti. I'm sure everyone has noticed that the snow has started falling by now. It has made me wonder what sort of seasonal activities others enjoy the most. Personally I quite enjoy playing in the snow, making snowballs or snow-people. So my question is, what sort of activities to you enjoy the most this time of year?

[Belle arrives a few minutes later clothed in a thick, warm looking coat. Spotting Saori, she smiles and walks over.]

Hello again. I cannot say I know much about what we're looking for.

Hello! Oh, don't worry about it! I'll show you.

[Saori beckons for Belle to follow her over to the sporting goods section, and towards a barrel filled with skis of varying lengths.]

These are skis. It's what we came for.

[She observes the long, slim objects curiously.]

I'm supposed to wear them on my feet, correct? I mean, I've seen people ski before but only from a distance. It's not a popular activity in my village.

You are, yes.

[Saori takes a pair of medium length ones out. and sets them against Belle's side, checking heights]

It's very popular in Japan, it has been for about eighty years. Yuuna loves it, so I go regularly. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, and it's easier to travel.

[She stands still as Saori checks her height.]

Yuuna? Is she a friend of yours?

I'm sure I will. Have you skied since coming here?

A friend and a little more, really. My roommate, my family, and the closest person in all the world to me at home.

[She shakes her head and puts the skis back, trying another pair]

I have. The snow here is very nice for it, particularly in the mountains. It's fallen rather thickly. But it's a lot of fun.
