[To say the past couple of weeks have been strange would be an understatement. Even though Belle had been forewarned about the kinds of things that happen around the time of new arrivals, nothing could quite prepare her for losing all her memories so suddenly, or getting them back just as fast. At least during that week she hadn't been aware of the mistakes she made and now that it was all over she felt too embarrassed to talk to anyone...besides Beast. But in that she really had no choice since she lived with him. But even so she's been careful to keep the subject of that strange week out of their conversations and-hopefully-out of Beast's thoughts as well.

So in the following week she takes to cleaning up there house, just as she told Beast she would. She wipes down every inch of it, clearing away the dust and the grime. And one day in the middle of the week she leaves the house to pick up some food to stock the kitchen. And she also makes a quick trip to the library to pick out a few new books to read and to return the others.

But this afternoon finds Belle once again at the library. She's standing in front of one of many bookshelves, scanning the spines of the books. There's just so many to choose from, she doesn't know where to start. She's mostly been reading stories she recognized from her own world, but she can only re-read those so many times before she's in the for something new. Finally she flips open her journal for the first time since the Shift and addresses the network.]

Good afternoon Luceti. For those who don't know, my name is Belle. And I was just wondering if any of you would be so kind as to recommend some books to me. There are so many I'm unfamiliar with in the library and it's a little bit daunting. I really would appreciate your recommendations. I enjoy reading fairy tales, if that helps. But really, I'm sure I would enjoy anything.

I really shouldn't...

[He was pretty tempted to stop there, given how lazy he was feeling, but Belle's utter excitement about his tale is rather inspiring. It's rare that he gets to have an audience as excited as Belle, and the fact that she was a cute young lady didn't hurt either.]

But... since you've been such a good audience my dear young lady, I suppose I can start up part two! Bard Tales with Brook! Yohohoho!

Now when we last left of Broonkie was to be wed to Queen Lisa, the late king's wife who was responsible for the assassination of the previous king. Lisa knew that in order for her plan to be successful she needed Broonkie out of the way, but that was quite the difficult task. Broonkie was legendary in the kingdom now for that strange attack he performed on Josh, and nobody quite knew how it happened... Nobody, except for the fellow members of Broonkie's squad. Queen Lisa was quite manipulative, especially when it came to things that she wanted, and Broonkie's surprise attack squad was not quite as loyal as he had thought.

Broonkie didn't really know what to do about the fact that he was about to become king though. So he decided to confide in his twin brother identical twin brother Yordle. Yordle, was not exactly the most well known man in the kingdom, as he was the kingdom's garbage man. Every night, he'd have to take the most disgusting of filth to his junkyard at the edge of the castle town. Yet he and Broonkie were close friends, and while Yordle hadn't been healthy enough to make it into the armed forces, Broonkie did. So Broonkie would fill Yordle's lonely life with tales of his adventurous life, and sing him songs to cheer him up. This time though, it was Broonkie who wanted to be comforted.

"Yordle?" Broonkie asked his dear brother. "What do you think I should do? I don't want to be king, and I only stopped Josh from becoming King because I knew he would be a tyrant. Unfortunately, I didn't think about what would happen to me afterwards..." Broonkie more than anything just wanted to be free, maybe take a boat somewhere and sail off into the horizon looking for adventure. While Yordle wanted to be so much more than just a garbage man. He wanted to prove he was smarter and wiser than people gave him credit for... and that's when an idea sprung into his head. "Broonkie... the answer has been staring us in the face the whole time! Why don't you and I switch places?"

"Whhaaaaat?" [Brook is very exaggerated in his surprised look for Broonkie here.] "Can we even do that?!" Broonkie was pretty sure this was a terrible idea that could never work, but he was still willing to hear Yordle out on it.

"Listen to me Broonkie. Nobody really knows who I am, and now that you're becoming King, you won't even need to use your sword anymore! So why bother putting your considerable talents to waste, when you could just let me do it for you? You said yourself that you don't want to be King, and me? Well anything's better than being a garbage man my whole life, right?" Broonkie didn't really know what to say. It seemed more and more like exactly the way out he was looking for. He'd have to leave the kingdom obviously, because people would start to get suspicious if they saw their 'king' swordsman in two places at once.

Hooooooo... sorry, got to take a bit of a breather here. This story is a lot longer than I remembered. I wonder if I made it longer in the retelling? Anyways, are you with me so far Belle?
